So, yeah, pretty good reading month!!!
But wait...there's more:
Patricia Briggs and Kim Harrison were in Houston on March 5 signing their latest releases. Since my brother and his wife/my bff live in Houston, I decided a road trip was in order. We had a great time and there was a good Q&A session (my notes here).
Then, it was back home just in time for Mardi Gras (March 8), where the city shuts down and throws a big party. I gotta be honest with you, by the time Mardi Gras day gets here, I'm pretty burned out on parades, so I usually skip the big day and stay home :) What does this have to do with books, you ask? Not a damn thing. But...I put together a little box of Mardi Gras goodness to give away: This is the good stuff, not the lame beads everyone leaves on the ground - there's plush, doubloons, blinky beads, glass beads, silly bands, and more. So, if you're interested in this little box of fun - leave a comment telling me you'd like a little Mardi Gras in your life. (I'm really sorry, but this one's gonna have to be US only - beads and such are too heavy to ship internationally.) Contest ends Sunday April 10.
That was my March, how was yours?
Who wouldn't want to inhale a bit of fun filled crazy called Mardi Gras? LOL Great giveaway Patti ;) We have something alike called carnival and especially in the south of the netherlands it's one big party.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you read 18 books o.0 WOW, yeah, I'm glad these day's to get to a whopping 4 *rolls eyes* I still have to get acquainted with Julie James but I have A Lot Like Love on the e-shelves so one of these days, right *smiles*

I'd love to get a little bit of Mardi Gras going in my life ~ and WOW on the basket, looks like you've got the party started!!
ReplyDeleteMarch wasn't a great read month for me ~ too many other things going on, so I'm trying to catch up this month. I have a ton of books in my TBR and books I need to review, so I'm having a blast just reading and reading...laid off for a week, so it's actually turning out to be a good thing, money aside, lol!
So a party would be GREAT!! Oh, and turned FORTY last month ~ not as traumatic as I'd thought, actually.

Oh, neat! Found you via Stumbling Over Chaos. :-)
ReplyDeleteMardi Gras booty? How can one refuse? Once upon a time, my family went on a Pirate Cruise, a 17th-century (replica) ship. The evening before, my cousin had provided fun "booty" for the kids, in the form of Mardi Gras beads and gems. My Younger Nevvy, 3 at the time, danced around the house covered in beads and Fabulous Jewels. Favorite memory: the Reverend Dr. Auntie, yelling down the the stairs, "Hey, Grand-neph: Do you want a piece of my booty?"
LMAO ...
