No Friday Funk today - instead I'm just giving you one more reason (okay, two or three reasons) to cross the street when you see me coming...
Sometimes I think my book addiction has made me (literally) insane.
Here's some weird book-related stuff I probably shouldn't admit to:
If that's not enough, there's also this:
Sometimes, when I'm in the French Quarter, I'll imagine one of the Dark Hunters or Were Hunters are there, hanging out in the coffee shops or restaurants. Do I go looking for them? Of course not, my kids are usually with me (just kidding!). Ms. Kenyon writes her characters so vividly that when I'm near some of the places she talks about in her books, it seems like they could be real :)
Lastly, I think a lot of my fellow readers/bloggers can identify with this one:
I get anxious when I leave the house without a book. Even if it's just to the grocery store, the possibility of getting stuck without a book makes me antsy. I mean, really, what happens if I fall back in time and don't have a smutty book to read?!?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving - Have a great weekend!!!
Love the wayward son one thanks to Supernatural :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I do know what you mean, and always when I forget one, then I like have to wait in line for something for 1 hour, and I suffer ;)
You're right about leaving the house without a book! Especially if I'm going to visit my parents. I never bring one thinking it may come across as rude to read while visiting, but everyone is always so pre-occupied with the kids, I could read without any issues! I must start bringing a book every time...lol
ReplyDeleteOMG we could be sisters! LOL
ReplyDeleteWayward Sons! I love that song and it reminds me of Supernatural! YUM!
If I don't have a book just to go check the mail outside, I go nuts! I have a book in my hand all the time. I even have one sitting in my lap as I type this.
Regarding book addictions, I have one word for you - iPhone. I also can't stand not having a book in my hand whenever I leave the house, but now that I have my iPhone, that's never a problem. I have even, on occasion, left the house without my beloved Kindle (gasp) because I've got my iPhone in my pocket with the Kindle app, the B&N app, and the Kobo app loaded on it. I know how expensive the iPhone is, but honestly, it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteYES!
ReplyDeleteDiana Gabaldon inspired lyrical memory in me too... except all I remember word-for-word are Spice Girls lyrics. Seriously, my brain is chock-full of useless Spice Girl lyrics.
If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends...
if I ever get transported back in time, I'm doomed.
Ditto on the leaving the house without a book thing. Makes me break out in a sweat, every time.
OMG, I am so glad to I'm not the only one who gets anxious if without a book in hand!!
ReplyDeleteI freak out if I leave the house without a book or my Kindle! LOL Thanks for sharing hon!
