For anyone in the New Orleans area, Maggie Stiefvater will be at Octavia Books on Saturday, April 17!!! Info here.
Anyone thinking of going? My son is having knee surgery a few days before this but I think I'm going to try my hardest to go.
*does the happy dance* Yay!!!
*does the happy dance* Yay!!!
I love her writing wish I could go :( I hope your able to go!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky! I loved 'Shiver' and am waiting impatiently for 'Linger'. Can't wait for the movie adaptation either...
ReplyDeleteP.S. - good luck to your son!
P.S. - I see you finally got your hands on 'Silver Borne' *squee!*
ReplyDeleteP.P.S. - and reading 'Ill Wind!' Woo-Hoo. Be warned, you have to slog through a good 60 pages of not-so-great before the really good stuff... stick with it though, because the book gets sexy and the overall series is *amazing!*
Ack! I want to go! I’ll have to see if hubby is working that day. If not maybe the kids will be up for a little road trip LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope your son’s surgery goes well and he has a quick recovery.
Tricia: Thanks - I hope I can go too!
ReplyDeleteDanielle: Shiver is on my TBR but haven't read it yet. Thanks for the tip on Ill Wind - that's exactly the thing I need to know before I end up frustrated and toss it out the window! When I first read Outlander, at the beginning I kept thinking..."I thought this was a time travel book, WTF?"
Mama Bookworm: Oh yes, come on over!!! Thanks for the well wishes.
I hope you can manage to go. I hear she is a sweetheart in person. Like we couldn't have already guessed that from her blog!
ReplyDeleteOh!!! I'm reading Shiver right now! I'm only 150 pages into it but I'm already just lovin' this book.
ReplyDelete*sniffle* Wish I could go!
